Which cartridge to buy

What is inside a Canapuff cartridge

A 1 ml glass tank filled with cannabinoid distillate and strain terpenes, sitting on a 510 thread. The thread is the screw fitting at the base of the cartridge, and 510 is the common standard for cartridges and batteries.

Terpenes are the aromatic compounds that also give lemon, pine and mango their smell. In a cartridge they set the flavour and the aroma, not the strength. The strength is the percentage on the pack.

A cartridge on its own carries no battery. It needs a 510 battery to work, which is exactly what the Pen+Cartridge sets in this collection include. Our cartridges are made with our own cannabinoids and contain less than 0.2% delta-9-THC, as the lab report for each batch shows.

Cartridge only or a pen and cartridge set

Take a Pen+Cartridge set if you do not own a 510 battery yet, take the cartridge on its own if you do. Both hold the same 1 ml of distillate at the same percentage, so the difference is the hardware in the pack, not the filling.

A set arrives with a matching rechargeable pen already paired to the cartridge. A cartridge on its own is the lighter pack once you have a battery you are happy with, and it keeps the hardware out of the order.

Cartridges: compatibility and choosing a strain

A battery with a 510 thread will take these cartridges, and 510 is the fitting most vape pens are built around. If your pen uses a proprietary connector instead, check the specification before you order, because a cartridge from this collection will not screw onto it.

Where a battery lets you set the voltage, keep it at the lower end of its range. Distillate that is heated too hard tastes burnt and loses the terpene profile the strain was picked for. Store a cartridge upright, cool, dry and away from direct sunlight, so the distillate does not leak or thicken, and keep it out of reach of children and pets. Cartridges are sold to adults only.

Strain names describe aroma, not strength. Maui Wowie and Blood Orange sit on the fruity side, OG Kush and Gorilla Glue on the earthy side, Amnesia and Permanent Marker somewhere between the two. Two cartridges at the same percentage can taste completely different for that reason.
